Extra carriers cannot be added to a vertical blind after manufacturing. If a replacement carrier is needed, please contact a retailer to purchase a new vertical blind headrail, or contact customer service for cost or warranty coverage information. No, the tilt chain will only face one way. If the headrail is attached the wrong way, the tilt chain will face away from the room. To change headrail and tilt chain direction, first remove all vanes. Next, remove headrail and turn so controls are on the opposite side. Finish by reattaching vanes.
With a minor adjustment, you can create an overlap to eliminate the gap. First, mount the headrails with non-control ends touching. Then, look inside one of the headrails and remove one or more of the small whitish spacer tubes attached at the ends (Note: The spacer tubes are c-shaped and can be popped off with a screwdriver). This will allow the end vane to move closer to the edge of the rail allowing for overlap.
The standard way that soft vertical blind vanes are ordered is by length as measured from the top of the headrail to the bottom of the vane. Vertical vanes can also be ordered by actual vane length (without headrail) but this must be specified at the time the order is being placed.
