Motorization

Control light and privacy with a simple click. LEVOLOR® motorization uses the “Favorite” feature to set up to 3 shading groups to a preferred position.

  • A single window shading can be in a group of its own or be put into multiple groups. Up to 3 groups can be programmed.
  • Operate multiple shades simultaneously or individually.
  • The "ALL" button is used to select all programmed groups for simultaneous operation.
  • Perfect for large or hard-to-reach windows.
  • Absence of dangling cords means added safety for children and pets.
  • Clean look for your window

Power Source Options

Standard Battery Pack

A tube of batteries that is connected to and installed behind the head rail to supply power to the LEVOLOR motorized operating system.

  • Batteries can be changed without removing the window covering from the window
  • Each battery tube uses 12 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries, all batteries are included with initial order
  • Battery life varies depending on usage
  • Replace batteries when the window covering(s) begin to operate slowly
  • Lithium and rechargeable batteries are not recommended

Note: Some selections may not be available with the standard battery pack, a satellite battery pack may be required.

Satellite Battery Pack

This power source allows the battery pack to be mounted on the top of a head rail, next to molding or under the sill. It is the best choice when the window covering is mounted in a high window, restricting access to the battery pack. Must be selected at time of order.

  • Available in 4 wire lengths: 15 inches, 4 feet, 10 feet, 20 feet
  • Each battery tube uses 12 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries, all batteries are included with initial order

  • Satellite battery pack cover can be painted

Remote Control Overview

GROUPS

Joining a window covering to a GROUP is what connects a window covering to an individual remote and allows the remote to communicate with the window covering, so the window covering will follow the remote commands. A window covering will not operate with the remote unless it is assigned to a GROUP.

Each LEVOLOR® remote offers 3 GROUP assignments, designated by buttons numbered 1, 2, and 3 on the remote.

A GROUP can consist of a single window covering or be comprised of multiple window coverings assigned to that particular GROUP button. Window coverings assigned to the same GROUP will operate at the same time when functions are selected on the remote. There is no limit to the number of window coverings you can assign to a given GROUP. If you want a window covering to operate independently of other window coverings, it must be added to a GROUP of its own. A window covering can be added to more than one GROUP on the same remote (or separate remotes). Once the window coverings have been joined to a GROUP, the remote will operate your window covering.

FAVORITES

Setting FAVORITE(S) stores a preferred position for each individual window covering, and recalls the stored position when the FAVORITES button is selected. (Favorites button is designated by the heart ♥ symbol.) Each window covering can have ONLY ONE FAVORITE position. Upon arrival, each of your window coverings will be set to the default FAVORITE position, which is half way down with vanes closed. You can re-program each shade to your FAVORITE position.

NOTE: The FAVORITE position for a given window covering is stored in the window covering itself. The favorite position is always the same regardless of which GROUP or GROUPS the window covering is assigned to or which remote you use. If you set a FAVORITE with one remote on one shade and then overwrite it with another FAVORITE position with a different remote, you will only have the FAVORITE as set by the last remote. From now on, any remotes programmed to that shade will trigger the same FAVORITE position.

To operate the shade using the remote control

Press the GROUP button and then the desired function. You can operate more than one group at a time by pushing multiple GROUP buttons and then pushing desired function. (As an example, you could press GROUP buttons 1 & 3 in succession and then select the function OPEN, and all window coverings assigned to GROUPS 1 & 3 will open.) You can also press the ALL button and then select the function, and all shades assigned to all GROUPS will perform the function you selected.

To operate the window covering using the FAVORITE function, press the GROUP button and then select the FAVORITES button. You can also select multiple GROUP buttons and then press the FAVORITES button, or you can press ALL and then press the FAVORITE button.

Before you begin your installation:

Read all installation instructions!

  • Leaving the shade rolled up completely will ease installation.
  • Confirm that the headrail and shade are the proper width and length.
  • If installing several sets of shades, be sure to match them with the appropriate window.
  • Check the installation surface to ensure that you have suitable fasteners and tools.
  • Lay out and organize all parts and components.
  • Proper shade direction during installation:
For Traditional Roller Shades, fabric will hang off the back of the shade, closest to the window.
For Optional Reverse Roller Shades, fabric will hang off the front of the shade.

Tools You May Need (not included):

  • Metal Tape Measure
  • Screwdrivers (both flat and Phillips head)
  • 1/4" Nutdriver
  • Safety Glasses
  • Drywall Anchors
  • Pencil
  • Drill with Bits
  • Level
  • Ladder

Step 1 - Inside Mount

Marking the Bracket Locations

IMPORTANT: Before marking bracket locations, ensure that your bracket placement will not interfere with any components inside the headrail.

  • Verify that your window casing has a minimum depth of 1-3⁄4" which allows for a partially recessed headrail mount.
  • If flush mount (fully recessed mount) is desired, a minimum mounting depth of 3" is required.
  • Mark approximately 1" from each jamb for bracket location.
  • Mark screw locations for each end bracket, 2 holes per bracket
  • If more than two installation brackets come with your order, space additional bracket(s) evenly between the two end brackets, no more than 30" apart.

Step 1 - Outside Mount

Marking the Bracket Locations

IMPORTANT: The brackets must be flush against a flat mounting surface. Do NOT mount brackets on curved molding

  • Center the shade over the window opening at the desired height.
  • Mark screw locations for each L bracket approximately 3" from end of cassette, 2 holes per bracket.
Use a level to ensure all brackets are aligned.
  • If more than two installation brackets come with your order, space additional bracket(s) evenly between the two end brackets, no more than 30" apart.

Step 2 - Inside Mount

Installing the Brackets

  • Pre-drill screw holes.
If installing brackets into wood, used supplied screws.
If installing into drywall, use anchors in combination with supplied screws.
  • Screw in brackets at marked locations, 2 screws per bracket.
  • Ensure all brackets are square with each other.

Step 2 - Outside Mount

Installing the Brackets

  • Pre-drill screw holes using a 1⁄16" drill bit, using pencil marks as a guide.
If installing brackets into wood, use supplied screws.
If installing into drywall, use anchors in combination with supplied screws.

  • SEE WARNING LABEL ON SHADE

Install the Tension Device

  • Slide the cord tensioner down to the bottom of the cord loop.
  • Using the screws provided, attach the tension device to the wall, allowing some slack for the cord to slide through easily.

IMPORTANT: When installing into drywall or plaster, use 3⁄16" drill bit and insert wall anchors (size 1⁄2", not included) before inserting the screws. When installing in metal, use appropriate anchors for metal substrate.

IMPORTANT: The tension device provides smooth operation of the shade. The shade will not operate properly unless the tension device is installed.

WARNING: It Is imperative that the cord tensioner be properly secured to the wall or window frame to reduce children’s access to the cord loop. Young children can strangle in cord loops. They can also wrap cords around their necks and strangle.

Install Bottom Rail Operating Handle

  • Locate optional bottom rail handle that arrived with your shade.
  • Insert front lip of the bottom rail handle into the top of the bottom rail of the shade. The handle will snap into place.
  • Hold-Down Brackets (optional)

    Banded Shades Guide

    Measuring Types

    Tip-to-Tip

Tip-to-Tip Measure is the common measure type for most roller shades. Choosing this measure type will include the headrail "pegs" that mount the shade to the wall or frame.

    Cloth-to-Cloth

Cloth Measure is uncommon and should only be used for Outside Frame applications. The headrail is wider than the cloth of the shade which causes the "pegs" to extend beyond the width of the shade material. This total distance is 1-3/8" wide, or a gap of 11/16" on each side of the shade material.

NOTE: For outside mount applications allow the blind to overlap 1-1/2" to 3" on the sides, top and bottom of the window. You must add the overlap to your measurement; LEVOLOR does not add width or height for overlap on Outside Mounted shades.

    Cleaning and Care

All LEVOLOR Banded Shades have multiple cleaning options.

Note: Improper cleaning may void warranty

Dusting - Use a feather duster for regular cleaning.

Vacuuming - Use a low suction vacuum with a brush-type cleaner attachment; stroke lightly over the shade to clean.

Forced Air - Blow away dirt and debris using clean compressed air.

Spot-Cleaning/Stain Removal at Home - Use warm water and a mild soap, like Woolite® or Scotchgard®, if needed.

Professional Injection/Extraction Cleaning - Call local on-site blind/shade cleaner that injects a cleaning solution into the fabric and extracts the dirty solution at the same time. The service is typically performed at home so you do not need to remove your window treatments.

Custom Banded Shades is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look cooler than I expected I'd give five stars all around but I've got a crinkly headrail. I'm sure I can correct it with heat, I just haven't yet. Overall it looks more modern than I expected and I am very happy with the look. I'd buy this shade again. Installation is seriously lacking in video support for this particular kind of shade. Get on that, Levolor. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unique shades I was intrigued by the design of the banded shades, as I had never seen anything like it before. The result of the online design and selection exceeded my expectations. The shades look fantastic and were relatively easy to install.
