How do I install a friction shim/clip for my cordless shade?
A friction shim/clip should only be installed in a shade that needs additional friction or if the blind is rising up from the bottom. To install the friction shim/clip, please see instructions below:
Installing friction shim/clip
- Lift blind to open position
- Remove shade from window
- Install 1 shim/clip per shade as shown in diagram below. Push shim/clip until it "snaps" in place.
- If the shade still rises, an additional friction shim can be added to the opposite side.
- If the shade still rises after installing friction shims on opposite sides, the shade needs to be repaired. Contact customer service for a return authorization number.
